This past month Naga held the 2019 Nor Cal Championships in San Jose, California. SFBJJ took 8 competitors and every one did amazing. Calvin got 1st no gi advanced and 1st yellow belt all wins by submission. Stefan Dao finished 1st place intermediate also managing to submit all his opponents. Anuar Zhuken got 1st in weight and 3rd intermediate. Paul Leclaire finished 3rd intermediate, Curtis Mitchell 1st place , Daniil Nguen 3rd beginners , Ricky Hernandez 3rd novice and Kevin Wong 2nd novice.
I couldn’t have been prouder of how the team helped each other prepare and supported each other at the tournament. Although everyone likes to win, whether we win or lose it’s experiences like these that make us better.
